Prompuk Karoonworawong (Yai)

Former Head of Human Resources at UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) PLC

Hello, my name is Prompuk Karoonworawong, but you can simply call me Yai. I’m the former Head of the Human Resources Department at UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) PLC, and I’m now enjoying my retirement from full-time work.

About three years ago, I attended a gut health balancing workshop with Kru Bud, where I was first introduced to Laughter Yoga led by Kru Oh. That experience made a lasting impression on me. After each session, I felt deeply relaxed and able to breathe more freely. Kru Oh also mentioned her teacher, Kru Kay Wararuk , and I was eager to learn more. I eventually joined Kru Kay’s laughter yoga session at a kindergarten in Bangkok, and it further reinforced my belief that everyone—especially working adults and those with many responsibilities—should experience laughter yoga. It truly helped me release stress, clear my mind, and improve my ability to focus and work effectively.

When Kru Kay launched the Professional Laughter Yoga Coach Training, I didn’t hesitate to join. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I discovered that laughter yoga is much more than just laughing—it’s a full process combining aerobic movement and yogic breathing that strengthens both the body and the mind. Just 10–15 minutes a day can create meaningful, positive change in your life. For me personally, it made me more joyful, more compassionate, and inspired to share what I’ve learned with others.

As the people around me and I enter our senior years, I’ve been inspired to introduce laughter yoga specifically to elderly groups, to make this practice more accessible and enjoyable for them.

“A little laughter every day brings health to your body, mind, and brain.”
