My Profile

Carina, based in the Philippines; is the founder of Flow + Recovery, a Yoga Teacher & Trauma-Informed and Accessible Yoga Facilitator, A Mindfulness Life Coach, and a former Recruitment Consultant. She discovered Yoga during her stressful time in the corporate world in 2012. In 2014, She earned her 200- hour certifications from Absolute Yoga Academy, and her Vinyasa Flow certification from Yogaplus Inc. in 2017.

In 2020, she took up Yoga Therapy for her advanced studies in California, USA. This included training under Nischala Joy Devi's Yoga for the Heart® program which imparted the skills necessary for teaching Yoga to people with heart disease, cancer, and other life-threatening diseases.

Since then, she has earned certificates in Yoga for Kids & Families and Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for Triathletes, Yoga for Addiction Recovery, Yoga for Seniors, Yin Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Spinal Health, Mental Health & Wellness, FeetUp® Yoga, Facilitating Transformation with Yoga of Sleep, Myofascial Release, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Embodied Facilitation and Community Practice, Women's Health & Fertility and Accessible Yoga.

She is a newly Certified Laughter Leader trained under Vinayak Shastri & Dr. Madan Kataria graduated September 16, 2022. 

She is currently pursuing Therapeutic Yoga Studies with Yoga Medicine®.

To date, Carina has completed over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training. Her mission is to share the benefits of Yoga, helping students not just be pain-free and feel better, but also to develop a stronger mind, body, and spirit. She is passionate about sharing how yoga, meditation, relaxation, and movement can improve people's ability to cope with and recover from stress, building resilience and enhancing their well-being.
