Bishwanath Verma is a person, who has taken up the onus of spreading a culture of healthy and happy lifestyle among the people in general and the people of Patna in particular. In the eightieth year of his life, he is striding big in this goal of his and is working tirelessly towards it. In July 2017, he has completed a certification as Laughter Yoga Teacher from the Laughter Yoga University, at Bangalore. He has been the first äóÖeighty year oldäó» student at the programme, and, looking at his energy and commitment to the cause, he was conferred an honorary title of äóÖLaughter Ambassadoräó» as well. Prior to this, he conducted a äóÖLaughter Yogaäó» session in Patna on äóÖWorld Laughter Yoga Dayäó» (7th May, 2017) and also on World Yoga Day (21st June, 2017) at Childrenäó»s Park, SK Puri, Patna. These together covered close to a thousand people of three generations. All through his life, he has worked towards ensuring better health of people and thus ensuring happiness. He professionally worked as an Executive with GSK, worldäó»s leading Pharmaceutical Company, thus helping people fight diseases and lead a healthy life. Post retirement, he revived his passion for making people laugh and soon leveraged this to spread happiness and health. This led him to get associated with many organizations like Rotary, Bagban, Samarpan, Talash, Bihar Productivity Council etc. where he became an integral part contributing to the cause of each of the organizations. He has taken the mission outside Patna and India. For his contributions, he has been conferred the title of äóÖSamanvaya Shreeäó» by Akhil Bharti Bhasha Bharati Samvaad, Bengaluru. He has also enthralled audiences in Seattle, USA, and has been honoured by the Seattle Hindi Samiti. Mr. Bishwanath Verma, through his passion of spreading happiness, has taken up many more roles and has contributed greatly to society. When people take a step back to sit back and enjoy a sedentary retired life, and more so when you have survived a heart attack, the three stents inside his body have only toughened his resolve and he has taken many steps forward to lead an active and meaningful life, giving back to the society and spreading the message of health and happiness in a world that is forgetting how to stay happy.
