Lee-Jean Fung graduated from University Science Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and went on to obtain a Master Degree in Business Administration from Strathclyde University, Glasgow. She practises as a pharmacist since 1982 and is now the Managing Director of My Pharmacy Services Sdn Bhd. My Pharmacy has 10 retail pharmacy outlets under its umbrella and is the largest retail chain pharmacy in Johor, Malaysia. In 2009, she received the Pharmacist-Entrepreneur of the Year award organized by the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society.
Lee-Jean believes in life-long learning and had participated in various programs inclusive of the Tun Hussein Onn Renewal Award (THORA) program, Clown Workshop and delegate in the Women Peace Group to North Korea. She is an accredited trainer with Specialist Management Resources, Malaysia. She conducts Clown Workshops, Creativity programs and now her passion is Laughter Yoga programs.
She was trained under Dr Madan Kataria for the Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher (CLYT) program conducted in Melbourne, Australia, August 2008. Lee-Jean actively conducts Certified Laughter Yoga Leader (CLYL) programs and in a span of less than a year, she had conducted 7 of these programs. Her vision is to have Laughter groups in all parks and gardens of Johor Bahru, a city in Malaysia. Now, there are several of such groups in Johor Bahru and she had organized the first World Laughter Day in Johor Bahru this year.
Lee-Jean feels that laughter is a powerful tool we had but under-utilised. Every one has the right to know about this tool and how to use it to its fullest potential.
