I attended a fantastic networking event entitled ‘More Clients Summit’, which was facilitated by Paul McCarthy and Brad Tonnini in Glen Waverley, a suburb of Melbourne. All of the speakers were excellent and for me it was fantastic value, in every way. The participants who I spoke with were in business and keen to share, communicate and help each other however possible.
That was special for me, being with such kind people with obviously high ethical standards. One young man, Vlad, runs a Peugeot and Citroen servicing business, which I imagine would be quite difficult to develop to capacity for a time. He is local, in fact lives in Boronia, where I initially started the laughter club six years ago.
Well Vlad turned up at the Ferntree Gully Laughter Club with his lovely girlfriend Lisa they both joined in extremely well, especially since they had never heard of a laughter club until the night before.
We did one of my favourite laughs, where we give each other two presents. The first one we excitedly unwrap and are disappointed, yet trying our best to put on a pleasant face. Next the ‘real’ pretend present unwrapping, where each one has in the back of their mind it may not be what they really want again. However it is a delight. When we did this laugh, our newcomers to the club got totally into it. It was a lot of fun.
Another wonderful, spontaneous laugh segment was inspired because of the Peugeot/Citroen garage. We all pretended to be driving various types of cars, according to what we felt the drivers would be like. We asked each other what type of car we drove. The Corolla driver, very down to earth behaviour, steady, grounded. Peugeot, a little superior. Vlad, the business owner said that often when he asked a Peugeot owner what type they drive, they answer with its colour! Then we had a 4 wheel drive, and so on. This laugh worked really well, we had many chuckles together.
Coming back to Paul and Brad’s networking event and for those who live or know of people in Melbourne, the next big one is Super Conference 2011 held between 20 and 22 of October this year. For your information the website is www.2011superconference.com.au. I feel honoured to promote this event, as Paul has been most supportive of me in developing Laughter Yoga clientele and is, besides being a RockStar marketer, kind and generous.
We certainly exist happily in this world of ours, when we are following Dr Kataria’s motto of promoting ‘World Peace Through Laughter’, connecting, sharing, networking and generally sharing love with like minded people.
I am delighted to be involved with the Laughter Yoga movement and besides facilitating Laughter Yoga in business and with community groups, dearly love leading the Ferntree Gully Laughter Club.
Thank you for reading and Love and Laughter blessings to you. xxx
