Laughter Yoga In Korea
28-Mar-08It was the first time I visited Korea from 20 - 25 of March. I was alone on this tour as Madhuri was still recuperating from her accident. The people of Korea were eagerly awaiting my arrival. They were full of enthusiasm and excitement at the prospect of laughter seminars and workshops. For years, media had generated a lot of public interest in the concept of Laughter Yoga and its benefits. I had earlier trained Mr. Moon Byeong-Kyo and Mr. Josph Lee as laughter leaders and they had been successfully running their laughter clubs for some years. On this visit, I did two laughter leadership trainings and trained about 70 – 80 people. Fully charged, they were keen to start more laughter clubs in their respective areas.
Being ardent workers, the Koreans realized the efficacy of Laughter Yoga as an effective tool to remove work stress. In fact, there was a tremendous response from various companies and corporates, especially Samsung that were willing to incorporate Laughter Yoga as part of their training routine. Laughter is the best way to lower stress and work pressure thereby enhancing performance and output.
I am looking forward to another visit and by then hope to see more laughter clubs in Korea that will spread the word of laughter and joy and help the people to connect and with the worldwide laughter family.
