Laughter Yoga on Oprah

The wave of media interest in laughter yoga that has been building steadily shows no signs of slowing down.
The Oprah Winfrey Show is the latest to express an interest in laughter yoga. Last week they invited Jeffrey Briar and Sebastien Gentry to fly to Chicago to film a laughter yoga session for the show.
I am very happy about this. While laughter yoga gets constant attention from BBC, ABC, NBC, ZDF and many other TV stations, it is most often their news departments who film us.
Oprah is a different kind of show. Her concerns seem to be oriented towards helping her viewers to achieve health, happiness and joy, and that is perfectly in accordance with laughter yoga.
My personal thanks go to Oprah and her team for shining their spotlight on laughter yoga.
I understand the segment will screen this Wednesday 11 April in the USA. Let’s hope they mention World Laughter Day that falls on May 6 this year.
Watch out for it.
This is such GREAT news! Bravo to you guys for making Oprah’s audience laugh for no reason and experience laughter yoga! This woman has been such an inspiration for many many people (not only women!) and it’s great that she is now taking about laughter yoga!

My husband Keith and I had just returned from LY Leader training in time to watch the Oprah show while those who stayed for the teacher training watched it in Niagara Falls with “Dr.K”. It was so amazing to see people doing LY on Oprah after just being at the training…and to be there in spirit with our training group and Dr. K. whom we knew were watching from a special room in the hotel!
What is even more amazing is what happened next…We had just set up our Laughter Social Club on LY website before Oprah came on. We got a call from someone we didn’t even know who came to our first LY Social Club session yesterday—all because of the exposure on Oprah Winfrey!
We look forward to Dr. Kataria being Oprah’s guest in the future. It WILL happen because both Dr. K and Oprah are in the flow of the universe and this is a joyous path to world peace and we all need more and more laughter…so it shall be! And we shall do our part—with glee. ho ho ha ha ha!

Hello everyone - this is Jeffrey Briar, who had the good fortune to be ON the Oprah show.
It was a thrill, and an honor to represent Dr. Kataria and this great path to health and happiness and peace — and I was very glad to be seen on the screen (they even spelled my name right!).
Y’know, they filmed us for almost four HOURS, yet we appeared for only 2 minutes! None of the heartwarming testimonials/miracle stories or personal interviews appeared, alas. I totally agree with Mary that the NEXT STEP is to get Dr. K on there, sitting in the chair next to Oprah, and really get into the HEART of this good work.
I just hope my efforts got our foot in the door.
